Overall Comment

Excellent location that is very convenient and walkable to restaurants, stores, etc. We love the wide walking paths that line the street! With regards to this condo, it definitely is a rental. The kitchen has labels on the cabinets with the number of dishes, very basic and worn furniture, and the curtains need to be washed. It’s a well worn unit but the location cannot be beat.

Nice unit but after dark the cockaroaches came out.I killed 18 the first night. The pool heater was broken all week, which is why we rented the unit. You are right on the the major drag strip.And parking was tough because of construction in the lobby.

great location but needs updating

Overall Comment

Seascape Majestic Sun is in a great location and the overall property has many amenities with multiple pools, hot tubs, & other features. Majestic Sun being across the street from the beach was convenient, it was a short walk with multiple crosswalks. We did have issues with our reservation about a month prior to arrival, I received an email notification of cancellation due to a payment issue (card used for deposit had expired), no one called before sending the cancellation email. And when I called I was told it wasn't actually cancelled. The check in/check out process was smooth and it was nice to receive the text alert with door code & not have to wait for assistance at a desk with multiple people checking in at once. However, overall I was surprised at what appeared to be an lack of staff physically present. Aside from someone at the entrance gate and the security guard by the pool, the chair crew on the beach, and the desk being staffed on our last day - I didn't see any other employees while I was there. It wasn't a major issue for us but it just seemed odd and I'm sure it would have been an issue if we had needed something. Our unit, 405B, was not incredibly clean upon arrival (mold on chair cushions, dirt along the edges of the floor). Unit furnishings were also dated and worn (ripped edges on furniture in the unit). Our unit itself also seemed very sparse in terms of supplies. We had a pull out couch but no sheets, just a bedspread over a mattress pad. We traveled w/friends & some of these things were much better in other units. The property also had some signs of wear or just neglected maintenance. For example a wall in the lobby around the gift shop appeared to be in the midst of a project but work clearly moves slowly as we didn't see any work happening all week. While overall it was fine for what we needed, I'm not sure that I would recommend the unit with all of the other competition and comparable prices in the Destin/Miramar Beach area.

Overall Comment

The Rental was overall a nice place to stay and very close to the elevators. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed it. There are a few things that need to be addressed, however. The kitchen does need more forks. There was only one fork. Thankfully I brought plastic forks. The bathroom vent in the hall bath is very noisy and needs to be addressed. The bedroom with the two double beds, gets warm at night while the front of the condo is freezing. If you like it cold, I suggest bring a box fan for that room. I would suggest that the cleaning crew to dust a little more. The bedrooms were very dusty on the lamps and headboards and had not been dusted in a long time. The management team was very helpful and easy to get in touch with after hours. I would suggest clearer instructions on how to get to the parking when arriving would be helpful. We tried to get in the B building gate (we were staying in the B building) and couldn't get in that way since that is the owner's entry point. Management was very prompt in calling us back since it was afterhours and assisted with getting us into the right entrance. Other than those things, we enjoyed our stay and will return to the Majestic Sun in the future.

Overall Comment

We enjoyed our vacation and thought Miramar Beach was great. Our unit at Majestic Sun had a beautiful ocean view with a short walk to the beach and easy access to the pool, tennis, etc. There’s a lot of restaurants and other activities nearby too.
